The Lil' Bandit is an unlockable vehicle in The Simpsons: Hit & Run. Like all other player owned cars this vehicle may be accessed via phone booths at any time, on any level.

Description[]

The Bandit is a reddish-pink muscle car with a black bumble bee stripe on the rear of the vehicle. The Bandit also has a cobra decal on both side of the car and the words "Lil' Bandit" on each door. In Levels 1, 3, 4, and 6, Snake occupies the driver's seat. The car bears a strong resemblance to a 1969 Dodge Charger.

Tips[]

The Bandit is a very high-performance vehicle. It possesses very good speed and acceleration, and extremely high handling, allowing it to complete general missions very quickly, and is very useful for completing Street Races in Level 6. Its toughness is also surprisingly high for such a fast car, meaning that it can absorb and deal a decent amount of damage when needed.

Trivia[]

  • The Bandit is mostly based on the depiction of Snake's car in season 3 episode "Separate Vocations", where it was based on the Dodge Charger, however this rendition only had the rear stripe and had a normal roof. The convertible roof, cobra vinyl and the "Lil' Bandit" name were introduced in season 9 episode "Realty Bites", where the car took on a different appearance, based on a 1968 Pontiac Firebird.
    • The hood scoop is a feature original to the game: the Charger had a flat hood, and the Firebird had a supercharger sticking out of the bonnet.
    • The front lip spoiler is also original to the game.
    • It's unknown why the game omitted the "Lil'" part of the name.
    • The Lil' Bandit in the show prominently had the license plates "EX CON" as the Charger and "GR8 68" as the Firebird, neither of which are in the game.
  • The image for the Bandit in the phone booth and in early artwork features different rims than in-game.
  • The Bandit in the mission "Bart 'n' Frink" is more durable than the version found outside of the mission, to the point where it is considered to be the most durable vehicle in the entire game.
  • Within the Level 2 folder in the game files, there is an E3 variation of the level.mfk file that reveals that the Bandit was intended to be the default vehicle in Level 2, but eventually was changed to the Honor Roller in the final game.
  • Despite already appearing in Level 3 in the mission "Slithery Sleuthing", when the Bandit is selected from the phone booth, Snake will be occupying the driver's seat, unlike the other drivers who only drive their vehicle if they do not appear in the level. This distinction is shared with Apu driving the Longhorn in Level 7.
