70's Sports Car

The 70's Sports Car is an unlockable vehicle in The Simpsons: Hit & Run. Like all other player owned cars this vehicle may be accessed via phone booths at any time, on any level.

Description[]

The 70's Sports Car is a light, lime-green colored sports car with blue interior and a white spoiler. When the car is damaged enough, the trunk will open, revealing a disco ball. In Levels 3 and 4, Homer occupies the driver's seat. The car bears a strong resemblance to the real life 1968 Plymouth Road Runner HEMI.

Tips[]

The 70's Sports Car is not the most durable vehicle in the game, but it is very high performance. It caters to the needs of players that need a fast vehicle, and it will perform all the better if taken care of, with extremely high speed and acceleration, and great handling to boot.

Level 6[]

Kang and Kodos Strike Back - Bart tells Homer that the aliens are using the Duff Brewery to store laser guns. Homer decides to use his secret weapon: his old sports car. The two then set off for the Duff Brewery, while racing a black car. They arrive late, however, as Kang and Kodos have already mixed the evil cola with the water supply, which will wake up the dead.

Level 7[]

The car appears as Homer's main vehicle throughout the level and it can be used in any mission, depending on the player's choice. It gets destroyed, however, in Alien "Auto"topsy Part I after it gets sucked up into the UFO's tractor beam.

Trivia[]

The 70's Sports Car is one of the few vehicles in the game that get destroyed at some point during the storyline; in this case Homer drives it into the UFO's tractor beam. The others being Mr. Burns' Limo, which gets destroyed in "Office Spaced" (but somehow gets repaired in its next appearance), the Armored Truck, which gets destroyed in "Kwik Cash", Skinner's Sedan, which gets destroyed in "Full Metal Jackass", the Hover Car, which gets destroyed in "Pocket Protector", the Bandit, which gets destroyed in the next mission, "Alien "Auto"topsy Part II" and the WWII Vehicle under its upgraded form, which gets destroyed in "Alien "Auto"topsy Part III".
