The Police Car is a black and white sedan with the Springfield Police Department seal emblazoned on the side. It has a pair of blue and red flashing lights, an antenna at the rear end, and a siren that replaces the horn. When the car is accessed in Level 1, Chief Wiggum can be seen driving it. The car bears a strong resemblance to the real life 1983 Ford LTD Crown Victoria.
The first instance of the Police Car is in Level 2. After collecting fireworks from Ralph, Bart has to escape from Chief Wiggum before it's too late. The next appearance comes in Level 3, when Lisa helps Wiggum send Snake to court through the three strikes method. In Level 4, Marge must race Wiggum to the retirement castle before the police close the building for the night. In Level 5, the car can be purchased from Gil for 425 coins; meanwhile, the player must follow one in hopes of finding professional criminal and thus discovering where the new Buzz Cola is coming from. The car makes its last appearance in Level 6's bonus mission. Bart destroys Chief Wiggum's police car in order to dispose evidence that could implicate Snake.
- The Police Car is not the vehicle that chases the player if Hit & Run is triggered. Rather, it is a different car, called the cPolice, which is a less detailed version of the Police Car that is used.
- When the All Cars cheat is used, the cPolice in the phone booth is also named "Police Car." The only realistic characteristic that tells them apart is the fact that the cPolice is surrounded on both ends by other unusable vehicles.
- When the Police Car is damaged enough, the trunk will pop open, revealing a sleeping dog inside.
